What: Go-go is a live blend of R&B, funk and rap music still most popular in the DC Metro area and surrounding counties. Groups credited with popularizing the percussion-filled genre of music include Chuck Brown and the Soul Searchers, Trouble Funk and Rare Essence. Many of these acts were signed to Maxx Kidd’s local label, TTED/DETT Records.
