Tennessee Bill Calls For Welfare Reduction For Bad Grades?! [POLL]
Sponsored by Sen. Stacey Campfield (R-Knoxville) and Rep. Vance Dennis (R-Savannah), the bill will require students to meet all satisfactory school requirements.
If requirements are not met in reading, math or language arts, welfare benefits will be reduced by 20 percent.
Opinions are mixed on this subject, as some think it may help the abuse of aid. While others think it is a terrible decision and will not help the problem at all and create a “hostility” between families and the schools.
