On the latest episode of “R&B Divas: LA,” the girls finally returned from their Vegas trip and were ready to get back to work. It was time to dive into their monologue project and begin rehearsals immediately!
Find out what happened below:
Dawn’s Rotten Eggs?
Dawn was finally at the place in her life where she was ready to have a child with her current boyfriend. The only problem was that she and her boyfriend were both in their late 40s so the odds of Dawn becoming pregnant naturally were slim. She visited a fertility doctor who confirmed her fears but gave her a few other options that included adoption. Dawn wasn’t too thrilled to hear the news that her eggs were “rotten” but still had faith that she and her boyfriend could conceive the natural way. When she brought the news to her boyfriend, he reassured her that they could try the natural way instead of artificial or adoption. Dawn was relieved that her boyfriend and her were both on the same page and the couple started planning their future kids right away!

Not Your Momma’s Monologue
Things with the monologue were moving extremely slow, especially since Kelly was having a hard time trusting the director the girls appointed to be in charge. Kelly continued to tell the ladies that she couldn’t trust Fred to take her to that dark place where she could get out her emotions of being molested when she was a child. Instead of trying to work with Fred to get to know him, she got up in his face and told him to leave before the girls even started rehearsal.
The other girls were disappointed in Kelly’s behavior and couldn’t believe she was acting that immature! Once Fred left the room, Kelly told the girls that she would assume the position as leader of the monologue and would appoint her director, Torrey, as the producer instead of Fred. After Kelly explained her situation to the ladies, Chante was surprised at her friend Kelly and how disrespectful she was acting toward Fred. They couldn’t understand why Kelly would bring someone in that they couldn’t trust, just because she trusted him herself.

While Chante and Kelly went back in forth in a heated debate, Lil Mo watched in shock keeping her comments to herself. Kelly and Chante had a long history of being great friends and Mo knew that if she got in the middle it would only make matters worse.

Who’s Directing?
When the ladies got together again to try to rehearse, Kelly showed up late with her friend and director, Torrey. The girls were stunned that Kelly had the audacity to bring Torrey to the rehearsal without telling them first and even more shocked that she would do it while Fred was already there. Once Kelly sat down, she took out a straight edge, Timberland boots and Vaseline as a warning shot towards Chante. It looked like Kelly was here for more than rehearsal. As Lil Mo would say, “she got straight Brooklyn, Bronx, Queens, Staten Island, all of them!” in a matter of minutes!

Torrey came in and immediately tried to take over rehearsal but had no idea what he was talking about. Chante and Mo were already used to Fred’s direction and weren’t really in the mood to start from scratch when the show was only a few weeks away. Tension was high, as usual, and it didn’t look like anything would be getting down in this rehearsal either.
