President Obama, Hillary Clinton Top List of Most Admired People in 2013
According a to a recent Gallup Poll, Americans voted President Barack Obama and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as the most admired living man and woman in 2013. This is Obama’s sixth consecutive year topping the list of most admired men, which is normal for a sitting U.S. president say the folks over at Gallup.
Hillary Clinton has made the list 18 times, and was only kicked from the top spot three times since 1993.
Gallup reported that though the president was voted the most admired man, the percentage of Americans who voted for him dropped from 30 to 16 percent this year.
Gallup collected their data from a poll collected between December 5 and 8 of this year from a sample of 1,031 adults.
Other men who made the list included former presidents Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, and Jimmy Carter. Pope Francis and Clint Eastwood (weirdly) also made the cut.
Michelle Obama, Oprah Winfrey, Malala Yousafzai, Britain’s Queen Elizabeth and Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton topped the list for most admired women of the year.
