TIME Reveals 2014 'Person of the Year'
Ferguson Protesters Beat Out By Ebola Fighters For TIME’s ‘Person Of The Year’
TIME Magazine has made its decision for the annual “Person of the Year” issue. For 2014, the honor goes to the Ebola fighters who “risked and persisted, sacrificed and saved” while battling the disease.
This may come with a little sting for some, as the Ferguson protesters, were the runner-up decision. The protestors have been marching since Michael Brown was shot and killed by officer Darren Wilson on August 9, and sparked national protests against police brutality. This unofficial civil war hasn’t gone away.
The other runner-ups for “Person of the Year” include the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin, the president of Iraqi Kurdistan, Masoud Barzani, and Alibaba founder, Jack Ma.
