Kanye West Almost Has An ‘I’ma Let You Finish’ Moment At The GRAMMYs
Kanye West spent years doing damage control after interrupting Taylor Swift’s 2009 MTV Video Music Awards win to protest Beyonce not winning. He was called racial slurs via Twitter and temporarily made appearances on various talk shows to explain his actions. Sunday night at the 57th GRAMMY Awards, viewers got a humorous reminder of 2009.
Prince presented Beck with the award for Album of the Year, and during Beck’s speech, West feigned an interruption before cracking a smirk, waving Beck off and leaving the stage. This time there was no awkward, ‘I’ma let you finish’ moment as Beck appeared to be in on the joke and waved Kanye back onstage before the crowd erupted in laughter. If it’s any consolation, Beyonce took home GRAMMY Awards for Best R&B Song and Best Surround Sound Album. You can watch a Vine clip of the moment below.
And look at the face of Jay Z and Beyoncé. Looks like they were a little worried at first.
