Beyoncé Signs Bailey Sisters After ‘Pretty Hurts’ Cover Goes Viral

After her own early success as a teen member of Destiny’s Child, Beyoncé Knowles has inked two teenage aspiring singers to recording deals. The New York Daily News cites court documents from Manhattan Supreme Court to corroborate Beyoncé offering Chloe and Halle Bailey recording contracts under her Parkwood Entertainment imprint. The Bailey Sisters gained recognition for a 2014 cover of the Beyoncé single, “Pretty Hurts.”
The video, which can be viewed below, has amassed nearly 8 million views since being posted. The Bailey Sister’s work has also been featured on songs “Meet the Browns,” Last Holiday and Let It Shine.
The Daily News reports the following:
“The talented siblings are hopeful Parkwood will take their careers to the next level with the help of Beyoncé ‘who the girls worship and who will, personally, be actively involved in managing’ their careers, according to court documents.”
