Some of you might remember Miri Ben-Ari as that cool chick playing the violin on some of Kanye West‘s songs.
Today, however, she’s all set to receive the Ellis Island Medal of Honor from the National Ethnic Coalition of Organizations (NECO).
The Grammy award-winning violinist is among the list of ninety honorees, which include TV host Meredith Vieira, New York Yankees legend Mariano Rivera, and MPDC Chief of Police Cathy L. Lanier.
Miri is best known for collaborating with artists such as Jay Z, Alicia Keys, Kanye West, and Donna Summer. Tonight, she will be recognized for being a successful violinist, producer, and humanitarian.
