The Perfect Guy leading actress enlisted Dej Loaf and “Drunk In Love” producer Detail for her new single titled “Emotional.” In the track, Lathan points out men who are the pushovers in relationships, and more.
“Baby why you call so early, Always trying to check up on me, Sending all these messages to me, Keep it up you’ll never know me, Fall back and let me miss you,” Sanaa sings. Detail gave Yahoo the inside scoop on how the song came to be:
I was looking at the trailer and I said, ‘Wow. That’s an emotional n*gga. Everybody started laughing and Sanaa said, ‘Exactly.’”
