Adele's "25" Sold More Copies In Its First Week Than Any Other Album
Adele’s “25” Sold More Copies In Its First Week Than Any Other Album On Earth
Well, damn.
We’ve known that Adele is not to be f*cked with when it comes to album sales, but this is unbelievable. The singer’s long-awaited 25 has sold more than 2.3 million copies in the U.S. since being released three days ago. By day seven, the album is slated to sell 2.9 million copies in the U.S., which will be the highest-selling first week sales of all time, Billboard reports.
Fifteen years ago, N’Sync’s No Strings Attached set the bar pretty high when the famed boy band sold 2.415 million copies in the first seven days. But the UK singer stomped on that record.
Continuing to promote her new album, Adele stopped by The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon to perform the third single “Water Under The Bridge.” Adele also played a quick game of “Box Of Lies.”
Watch her performance up top.
