Nicki Minaj’s Brother Charged With First-Degree Rape of a 12-Year-Old

Jelani Maraj, Nicki Minaj‘s 37-yr-old brother,  was taken into custody yesterday in Long Island NY and charged with first-degree rape of a 12-yr-old girl, sources say. He was later released after posting a $100,000 bail. “The victim was someone he had access to,” a source tells the New York Daily News.

Minaj and her brother were publicly very close siblings as you can tell by some recent instagram posts (below), even putting in about $30k towards his wedding celebration in August.

Nicki, who is currently holding castings to play her and her family for an upcoming TV show based on her childhood, hasn’t responded publicly about the matter.
