Thirty two workers have passed away due to an offshore oil platform that caught on fire in the Caspian Sea in Azerbaijan on Saturday. The state’s energy company said the fire started when a gas pipeline on the platform was severely damaged due to strong winds. [Reuters]
Leaders from 195 countries have come to an agreement on reducing global carbon emissions and limiting global warming during the United Nations Convention on Climate Change. Officials have developed a draft and will continue to craft the final agreement in Paris sometime next week. [CNN]
