Jason Kidd On Steph Curry: "He's This Generation's Jordan"
Jason Kidd On Steph Curry: “He’s This Generation’s Jordan”
Steph Curry may have lost his first game over the weekend, but he did get a major compliment from the opposing team’s head coach.
Bucks coach Jason Kidd, who led his team to a 13 point win over the Golden State Warriors, compared Steph Curry to Michael Jordan, saying, “He’s this generation’s Jordan. We all wanted to be like Mike, and children today will grow up seeing Steph.”
An NBA Legend himself, Jason sees what Steph means to the kids nowadays and the excitement that people get when they see him play. Kidd sparred against MJ much of his career, so he’s very aware of his extraordinary abilities. Steph’s image is also similar to Michael’s; he is extremely marketable and popular.
Jordan also played a huge role in cementing Nike as the footwear giant it is today. If Stephen Curry can do the same for Under Armour, he’ll truly be the golden boy.
