This Kendrick Lamar & Mario Kart Mashup Track Is Weirdly Awesome
Why would Kendrick Lamar collaborate with other rappers when he can vibe out with Mario and Luigi in an animated world instead?
The internet has blessed us with the “Kendrick Lamariokart” track, a mash-up of the Mario Kart theme song and Kendrick Lamar’s “Swimming Pools.” The 16-bit beat makes the dark song way more catchy and a happier tune for a singalong. An album’s worth of these jams could definitely ring off in the right EDM club, so the creator, Jed K, may be on to something. Admittedly, “Backseat Freestyle” would have been a bit too obvious of a song choice, but hilarious nonetheless. And if he’s taking suggestions, “Alright” – a fan favorite off To Pimp A Butterfly – would be an amazing follow-up track.
