Stacey Dash Reads Mean Tweets About Her and Claps Back

Sunday’s Oscars were full of OMG moments but one in particular still has us baffled. It was when Stacey Dash was introduced by Chris Rock as the academy’s new director of the “minority outreach program.” She came out and said her lines to an almost completely quiet auditorium. Whether it was because people were unaware of the controversy surrounding her and just simply confused, or that people just didn’t want to co-sign the bit, it was awkward.

She recently sat down to talk about her Oscar visit and read mean tweets about herself similar to the “Mean Tweets” feature on Jimmy Kimmel, and used the opportunity to clarify what her appearance was all about and why she’s so outspoken. As to whether she cleared things up or not, well, the jury is still out on that.
