Call It A Comeback – LL Cool J Retires, then Unretires and Announces New Game-Changing Album
LL Cool J recently made the news for his Kanye-esque rant on Twitter about how great of a legend he is and what he’s brought to the game. Then, to the shock of many, he announced his retirement from hip-hop.
Turns out, the whole production was a setup to announce a new album from the lip-licking one, tweeting “Today I’m officially coming out of retirement. And starting a new album. I’m gonna massacre the rap game!!!”
Since then, he’s been updating us on the almost-finished project #GOAT, revealing he’s been in Dr. Dre’s lab with a pen and a pad tryin’ to get this next album off.
Let’s hope, with all this publicity for the new joint, when it’s finally released it’ll make more noise than his 2013 album ‘Authentic.’
