Jared Fogle Losing More than Weight in Prison; Beaten and Bloodied

It has been reported that former Subway spokesman Jared Fogle was jumped on the prison yard at his federal prison facility last January. According to TMZ, the culprit is a fellow inmate who has a thing against child molesters.

Doctors say Fogle was ambushed in the recreational yard at Englewood Prison on January 29 by Steven Nigg, who’s in for a weapons charge. The inmate pushed Fogle down before firing off a series of punches. After the lack of a fight, Fogel was left with a swollen face, bloody nose and scratches on his neck.

As bad as that sounds, the 60-year-old attacker suffered injuries too– a little cut on his left hand– probably from throwing punches. He was also thrown into solitary confinement for acting up.

TMZ spoke to Nigg’s family and they’re not surprised. They told TMZ that Steven is pissed because so many child sex predators are housed in the low security facility, and Fogle was just the last straw.

Jared’s attorney had no comment.
