Manny Pacquiao Wins Final Fight Of His Career Against Timothy Bradley Jr.
Last night at Las Vegas’ MGM Grand Arena, Filipino professional boxer Manny Pacquiao became the new WBO International Welterweight champion, making this the final fight of his career.
Pacquiao fought against Timothy Bradley Jr., whom he knocked down twice in the seventh and ninth rounds, according to ESPN. After getting a 116-110 score from all three judges, Pacquiao announced that he now officially retired.
“Yes, as of now I am retired,” said the 37-year-old. “I am going to go home and think about it, but I want to be with my family. I want to serve the people [of the Philippines].” Manny is involved in politics back in his native country, where he is currently a congressman.
