Johnny Manziel Appears In a Dallas Courtroom on Domestic Violence Charge
After being booked on a misdemeanor assault family violence charge, Johnny Manziel paid a $1,500 bond Wednesday in Highland Park and made his first court appearance in a Dallas courtroom today.
A judge ordered Manziel to have no contact with the alleged victim, ex-girlfriend Colleen Crowley through calls, texts, emails or letters, and was also told not to own or have in his possession any guns. No restriction was placed on Manziel’s ability to travel and nothing was put in place to keep him from using alcohol.
The judge set his next court date for June 24, which will be a pre-trial hearing that may not require Johnny Manziel to personally appear.
If convicted, Manziel faces a $4,000 fine and one year in jail.
