I know you remember the photos of the teen who dressed like Queen Bey at prom that went viral, right? Well let me fill you in! India Ross, a 18-year-old high school senior was going to prom, and used Beyonce’s 2015 MET Gala gown as inspiration for her prom dress. The look left us all speechless. Toi, owner of Toi Box Couture and St.Louis designer, had the internet on fire when she remade the amazing Givenchy haute couture gown with a back cutout and a multitude of colorful hand-sewn crystals.
India, the high school senior, is an aspiring fashion designer and is headed to Columbia College Chicago in the fall. She plans to double major in fashion business and fashion merchandising with a minor in public relations and marketing. Seems like she’s got a head start on her classmates.
Since Beyonce is bringing her Formation World Tour to St. Louis, we found it only right to catch up with the duo responsible for the internet sensation to see how she feels about attneding the show at the Dome at America’s Center on Saturday September 10th. Here are her thoughts.
