Blazes of wild fires blew across Los Angeles last Tuesday devastating entire communities, forcing thousands to evacuate their homes, and killing at least 10 people. The neighborhoods of Palisades, Eaton, Hurst, Lidia, and Kenneth are now covered in ashes with more 10,000 structures being destroyed. Many superstars including Jhené Aiko’s home were completely burned to the ground forcing them  to “start from scratch” as shared on her social media.

Jhené just purchased the $5.6 million home in 2023 for her family including daughter Namiko (16), and son Noah (2) that she welcomed with longtime lover Big Sean. After sharing the news online, internet trolls flooded the comments without sympathy because they felt like she’s “rich and can buy another house if she wanted too.”  Jhené clapped back with grace, reminding them of the hard work she put in to get to where she is today.

Gov. Greg Abbot is deploying emergency personnel to Los Angeles to help those in need. A statement released by the Office of The Texas Governor said, “TDEM, the Texas A&M Forest Service, Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System, and Texas Emergency Medical Task Force will deploy more than 135 firefighters, emergency management and medical personnel, as well as more than 45 fire engines, ambulances, command vehicles, and equipment to California as crews battle ongoing wildfires in the southern part of the state.”
