Brian Schottenheimer Joins Dallas Cowboys as New Head Coach

After much anticipation, the Dallas Cowboys announced new head coach, Brian Schottenheimer. A press conference was held Monday to welcome and introduce him to the team.
Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported that the Cowboys are giving Schottenheimer a four-year contract following a week of interviews, speculation, and projections.
Dallas released Mike McCarthy, who led the injury-plagued Cowboys to a 7-10 2024 season.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones chose Schottenheimer after interviews with several candidates. Reortedly, Schottenheimer interviewed for several hours Wednesday, followed by a lengthy interview Thursday.
Cowboys fans are looking for a new and fresh approach in a new head coach that knows how to get us to the Super Bowl. Despite facing criticism, Jerry Jones remains confident in his ability to achieve success.
Schottenheimer is the Cowboys’ 10th head coach and ninth since Jones bought the organization in 1989 and fired Tom Landry.
