ICE Arrests Undocumented Immigrants In NYC

The first week of President Donald Trump’s second term has seen more than 4,500 arrests. According to ICE, 84 people were taken into custody by federal agents in Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Irving, Garland, and Collin County on Sunday.

The agency describes it as a “targeted operation,” meaning they are specifically targeting undocumented illegal immigrants with a criminal background, according to NBC5.

Although the number of detainees has not been made public, agencies have confirmed the operations in other cities.

Images of more extensive ICE operations in Chicago were made public over the weekend; the operations were allegedly directed at convicted criminals or suspected gang members. This is part of the Trump administration’s effort to significantly increase arrests.

Governor Greg Abbott’s office has issued warrants for almost 5,400 criminals who are allegedly in Texas illegally.
